Steward – casual position at Auckland Airport lounge The role involves ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth operations in the lounge kitchen and dining areas. You will support food preparation, dishwashing, and supply replenishment while maintaining food safety and quality standards. The position is casual, based on business needs, and requires availability to work on weekends and public holidays. Responsibilities Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping, and waste handling. Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating following food safety protocols. Wash dishes, kitchen equipment, and ensure proper sanitisation and storage. Replenish supplies and rotate stock in dining and kitchen areas. Communicate effectively with colleagues and respond to customer requests professionally. Work independently or as part of a team while staying physically fit. Qualifications Experience in a similar role, ideally in a kitchen or hospitality environment. Good communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude. Familiarity with kitchen cleaning equipment and food safety standards; NZQA Food Handling Certificate preferred.
