Job Description
ConsultANZ is seeking an Intermediate Planner to join a leading civil contractor based in Wellington. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex civil infrastructure projects while developing your planning expertise within a supportive and experienced team. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update project programmes using Microsoft Project (MS Project). Monitor project progress and ensure programmes accurately reflect site activities and project milestones. Assist with programme development, construction sequencing, and resource planning. Prepare planning reports, schedule updates, and progress forecasts. Identify programme risks, delays, and opportunities, recommending practical solutions. Work closely with project teams to ensure construction activities align with project schedules. Support project controls, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years' experience in project planning, project controls, or civil construction. Experience working on civil infrastructure projects such as marine, roads, bridges, rail, water, or other heavy civil works is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MS Project). Experience with Primavera P6 is advantageous but not essential. Understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and project planning principles. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
