Policy & Regulatory Lead

Join ERGANZ, the Electricity Retailers’ and Generators’ Association of New Zealand, and help shape the future of New Zealand’s electricity system. We’re seeking a Policy & Regulatory Lead to drive policy and regulatory initiatives across the electricity sector, influencing key issues such as affordability, reliability, electrification, consumer trust, and market design. In this role, you will: Lead policy analysis and submissions on electricity market and regulatory issues. Develop evidence-based positions and advocacy strategies. Engage with government, regulators, industry leaders, and stakeholders. Develop practical solutions that deliver better outcomes for consumers and the wider electricity system. Provide strategic insight on emerging energy sector challenges and opportunities. About You You will bring: Experience in energy policy, regulation, market design, consumer policy, or a related field. Strong analytical and communication skills. The ability to translate complex issues into clear, practical recommendations. Confidence engaging with senior industry, government, and regulatory stakeholders.
