Duty Manager – Wynyard Grill Location: Auckland City, NewZealand (Auckland CBD, Wynyard Quarter by the Viaduct Harbour). Position: Full-time on-site duty manager (part-time permanent options available). Hours: five days a week full time or three days part time, various shifts Monday to Sunday, typically 2/4pm‑10pm or 11am‑8pm, 30‑40 hours per week. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary $24.50 – $27.50 per hour. Shared tips based on hours worked (≈$200 per month per person). Responsibilities Serve customers in the bar area in accordance with the protocol set forth in the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. Assist the restaurant manager with roster creation. Ask for and communicate regularly with other staff to gain feedback from customers and staff, and work with the head chef to constantly improve product quality. Put away deliveries and check against invoices. Ensure all staff are compliant with Liquor Licensing regulations. Maintain a clean working area and keep all equipment, surface areas, floors and bar appliances tidy, sanitary and in like‑new condition. Assist staff on the floor serving customers. Monitor and document fridge and freezer temperatures to ensure they remain within allowable limits under New Zealand Health and Safety laws. Complete daily incident reports and advise the restaurant manager of any issues or problems with deliveries, equipment, customers or staff. Complete monthly stock‑take reports. Monitor, document and take measures to prevent wastage of alcohol stock. Perform daily and weekly checklists as instructed by the restaurant manager. Ensure the highest standard of customer service. Prepare and pour all cold drinks according to recipes provided. Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality (preferred). Duty Manager certificate (preferred).
