Mō te Tūranga | About the RoleWhat are the key day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?\n

  • Lead credit submissions for complex property-related transactions, ensuring a high-quality, consistent approach to financial analysis, risk assessment and debt structuring.
  • \n
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of deal execution relating to the delivery of credit facilities to Property Finance customers.
  • \n
  • Identify new business and referral opportunities, using internal and external networks to support the achievement of income targets.
  • \n
  • Build strong sector knowledge and maintain professional relationships across BNZ, customers and market networks.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, valuers, legal advisers, internal product partners, and broader market networks across the property sector.
  • \n
What attributes will this person have to be successful?\n

  • We’re looking for someone who is commercially curious, relationship-led and comfortable operating with a high level of accountability.
  • \n
  • This role will have a strong focus on Property Finance clients, so you’ll demonstrate confidence in assessing complex property transactions, understanding sector trends, and structuring tailored banking solutions that support long-term client outcomes.
  • \n
  • Experience within Property Finance, Corporate Banking, Business Banking, finance or a related field, along with a sound understanding of accounting, legal and tax considerations.
  • \n
  • Good communication and presentation skills, sound judgement is essential, as well as the ability to coach, support and develop others.
  • \n
  • Confident working through complex credit issues, structing and negotiating transactions, while managing competing priorities and influencing senior stakeholders across the business.
  • \n
  • A tertiary qualification in banking, finance, accounting, commerce, law or a related discipline is required.
  • \n
