He aha te tūnga? | What is the role? The Digital Enablement Officer acts as the primary connector between the TPO Group's people, processes, and digital systems. Grounded in the principles of Te Poutokomanawa, this role supports the organisations commitment to placing people, relationships, and whānau at the centre of everything we do. As the organisation moves through a significant period of transformational change, this role will play a critical part in supporting the successful adoption of new digital solutions, improving business processes, and strengthening the way our people engage with technology. Working across all service areas, you will partner closely with business leaders, operational teams, and external technology partners to understand needs, identify opportunities, and deliver practical digital improvements. Ngā pūkenga me whai | Your skills and experience Sufficient technical literacy to hold informed conversations with IT vendors and MSPs, understand system capabilities and limitations, and confidently support kaimahi with digital tools – without requiring deep infrastructure or engineering expertise. Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills – able to work across diverse teams, build trust quickly, and operate with confidence and sensitivity in a relational, kaupapaMāori environment. Proven ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple concurrent workstreams, follow through on commitments, and keep stakeholders informed – a self-starter who takes initiative without needing to be directed. Experience in business process mapping, requirements gathering, or change management, and the ability to translate operational insights into clear, actionable improvements. An understanding of Māori Data Sovereignty principles and their practical application in a whānau-centred service organisation.
