Cooks Assistant / Forklift Driver

About the Role Barker’s is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our busy manufacturing team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for candidates eager to learn new skills and grow within a leading company specializing in high-quality fruit products. Key Responsibilities Assist with ingredient preparation and batching requirements Support the cooking team to ensure production runs efficiently Follow recipes, specifications, and production procedures Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks to required standards Maintain accurate production records and documentation Adhere to food safety, quality, and health and safety requirements Assist with stock movement and material handling as required Support continuous improvement across the production area What You’ll Need Reliable, responsible, and of good character Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team Physically fit, with the ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused under pressure Flexibility to work rotating morning and afternoon shifts Willingness to learn and develop new skills Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace Forklift experience or an OSH Forklift License is advantageous but not essential Previous manufacturing or food production experience is beneficial but not required What We Offer Learn and Grow - Develop valuable skills in food manufacturing with comprehensive on-the-job training and support.
