Implementation Manager

Implementation Manager – Te Au Reka Programme Fixed Term (3 Years), Full Time – Wellington CBD. Overview Te Au Reka is a programme to modernise the administration of justice through a digital case management solution. As Implementation Manager, you will lead and coordinate implementation activities that bring together technology, operational readiness, and change delivery to ensure successful outcomes across the programme. Key Responsibilities Lead implementation planning and coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams. Manage dependencies between technology, change, operations and external stakeholders. Support business readiness, go‑live planning and transition activities. Facilitate cross‑functional planning sessions and integrated delivery plans. Identify implementation risks and develop mitigation strategies. Provide strategic advice to programme leaders on implementation options, impacts and constraints. Support impact assessments and readiness reviews. Build strong relationships across business units, delivery teams, vendors and external partners. Contribute to governance forums and provide insights on implementation risks and delivery status. Champion high‑quality delivery, continuous improvement and collaborative ways of working. Skills and Experience Programme or senior project management experience. Proven success delivering within large‑scale business or digital transformation programmes. Strong experience coordinating multiple workstreams including technology, change and operations. Ability to manage complex interdependencies and competing priorities. Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship management skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with a systems‑thinking approach. Ability to influence and achieve outcomes without direct authority. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, translating complexity into clear, actionable insights. Experience working within structured governance environments. Sound judgement and ability to navigate complex organisational environments. Desirable: Knowledge of public sector governance and decision‑making processes. Desirable: Understanding of the justice sector, courts, tribunals or related government agencies.
