Role Description This contract Mortgage Adviser role is a hybrid position based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a mix of in‑office and work‑from‑home flexibility. The Mortgage Adviser will consult with clients to assess their financial situations, clarify home ownership goals, and recommend suitable mortgage products and structures. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include gathering and analysing financial documentation, preparing loan applications, liaising with lenders, and tracking approvals through to settlement. The role involves providing clear, compliant advice, explaining complex financial terms in accessible language, and maintaining accurate records of all client interactions. The Mortgage Adviser will also nurture ongoing client relationships, monitor refinancing opportunities, and collaborate with colleagues and referral partners to support clients’ broader financial plans. Qualifications Strong mortgage advisory skills, including experience assessing client affordability, structuring home loans, and navigating New Zealand mortgage products and policies. Sound financial analysis and documentation skills, with the ability to interpret income, expenses, credit histories, and lending criteria accurately. Client relationship management capabilities, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust across diverse communities. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mortgage terms, conditions, and risks in plain language. Knowledge of New Zealand regulatory requirements, responsible lending obligations, and compliance processes related to mortgage advice. Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, including secure document sharing, remote meeting platforms, and basic data entry/reporting. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time, priorities, and client pipelines effectively. Relevant industry qualification or accreditation in financial services or mortgage advice (e.g., New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services or equivalent), with prior mortgage advisory or banking experience highly beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
