Quantity Surveyor

I’m assisting an established, professional quantity surveying and cost management consultancy with a strong national footprint who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Wellington. Work is varied across a mix of commercial and infrastructure projects, ranging from smaller jobs through to larger-scale builds. About the Role You’ll be working alongside experienced senior team members, covering the full spread of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties from project inception through to completion. It’s a a busy role and you won’t be stuck doing the same thing project after project, so an excellent opportunity to grow your career. Typical Responsibilities Preparing cost estimates, cost plans, budgets and tender documentation Contract preparation and administration through the life of a project Monitoring project costs and keeping financial reporting accurate and up to date Liaising directly with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders Supporting senior team members with wider project and office requirements as needed What We’re Looking For Around 3-6 years’ relevant Quantity Surveying experience ideally New Zealand based consultancy experience is preferred Strong estimating, cost control and contract administration skills Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients and stakeholders Construction-related qualification (Diploma or Bachelor in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience) NZIQS membership or working towards registration is a bonus, but not essential Why This Job This is an exciting opportunity to join a 100% New Zealand-owned and operated consultancy.
