About The Role We're excited to say we have a new opportunity for a talented Pricing Analyst to join our growing Technical Pricing team. The Pricing team is focused on delivering a high quality, low-cost outcomes that earns the trust of every New Zealander - ultimately ensuring the end-customer is at the heart of everything you do. We’re looking for someone who has strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, which will help identify, lead and influence projects through providing recommendations to key people throughout the business. The information you provide will help shape the decisions made around our products to ensure we are providing the best pricing possible to help our customers get the cover they need. We’ll be outcomes focused, highly organised with strong attention to detail skills, and demonstrate a high level of proactivity, accountability, and professionalism. You will have excellent analytical skills and a proven-track record of providing recommendations based on large datasets. Does this sound like the role for you? What You’ll Be Doing Assisting in identifying and solving pricing and business problems, addressing specific data and analytical aspects Applying thorough understanding of the insurance data assets to extract and build data pipelines for business analysis purposes Building, monitoring, and refining statistical and machine learning models aimed at improving risk selection and portfolio performance Applying the insights of customer and market to formulate the best pricing offering to meet the business objectives and customers’ needs Ensuring data accuracy, integrity and consistency across all analysis, modelling and reporting framework Communicating the results of analyses in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ensuring our level of service exceeds our customer expectations and reinforces our commitment to service excellence in line with timeliness and quality What You’ll Bring With You A relevant tertiary quantitative degree (actuarial, data science, mathematics, statistics, or computer science) Previous experience in statistical and data programming languages for analysis and problem solving e.g. R, Python, SAS, SQL Experience in Personal Lines Insurance Pricing or other insurance pricing related projects is desired A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and outlook Strong communication skills, both written and verbal A drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience in every interaction Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills Why You'll Love Working with Us We embrace rewarding our people fairly and competitively through annual salary reviews and recognising high performance through our incentive scheme We're committed to making our peoples’ wellbeing a top priority, with benefits such as a $250 annual wellbeing allowance, discounts at Les Mills, Bay Audiology and Lumino the Dentists plus volunteer leave We offer great discounts on our products and retail partners, like up to 50% off our car, home, and contents insurance, free NZAA membership, as well as a generous $1,500 refer-a-friend bonus We invest in our people; we have an online learning portal, study leave and career break options, celebration of service, loyalty, and recognition programs Our culture and care for our people can be seen in our outstanding engagement and tenure.
