We are currently seeking an experienced Public Toilet Amenities & Cleaning Team member to join our dedicated Tauriko teams in maintaining and delivering high-quality amenities services on Downer contracted sites. Please note this is a hands‑on role involving the cleaning and maintenance of public amenities, including public toilets, parks, and the removal of illegally dumped roadside litter. Full-time, permanent role with consistent hours Opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects in your local community Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive team environment with strong leadership Employee benefits including discounts and wellbeing support Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity As a Maintenance Service Person, you'll carry out a range of cleaning and maintenance activities across parks and reserves, including: Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of park facilities including toilets, BBQs, bins and park furniture to ensure a high standard of service Perform litter collection and upkeep of public areas to enhance the community's enjoyment Adhere to Safety, Quality, and Environmental (SQE) standards by managing activities for superior safety performance during daily operations Undertake hazard identification and document findings prior to starting work on site Be vigilant of the public in work areas and assess the appropriateness of activities to maintain public safety Liaise with clients and the public to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly This is a full-time permanent position working Tuesday to Saturday. The role involves travelling between multiple sites, working independently for much of the day, and participating in an on‑call roster as required. You'll be trusted to manage your workload and deliver a high standard of service across the network. Nga Pūkenga Matu | Important Skills We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
