We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Interventional Radiologists to join our highly regarded service at Christchurch Hospital. We welcome applicants with broad interventional experience as well as those with subspecialty interests. Working within a collaborative team of experienced Interventional Radiologists, you will provide a diverse range of procedures across both tertiary and regional services while contributing to the ongoing development of our innovative and progressive department. We have opportunities available across permanent, fixed‑term and locum appointments, offering flexibility to suit different career stages and lifestyle goals. Christchurch Hospital is the largest tertiary hospital in New Zealand's South Island and provides specialist services to a population of more than 700,000 people across Waitaha Canterbury and the wider South Island. Our Interventional Radiology service is recognised for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care across a broad and varied casemix. We work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive vascular, oncological and non‑vascular interventional services. Our purpose‑built facilities include: State‑of‑the‑art Interventional CT and ultrasound suites Modern single and biplane digital subtraction angiography (DSA) laboratories Dedicated Hybrid Operating Theatre Access to advanced imaging technology supporting complex interventions Our department has a strong culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement, with general and subspecialty‑trained Interventional Radiologists working together to provide outstanding patient care. For those with academic interests, Christchurch Hospital is affiliated with the University of Otago, Christchurch, providing opportunities to participate in undergraduate teaching, research and clinical innovation. As an Interventional Radiologist, you will bring: Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology (or equivalent recognised specialist qualification) Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand Excellent clinical and procedural skills across a broad range of interventional radiology practice A collaborative approach and commitment to multidisciplinary patient care A passion for quality improvement, teaching and service development International applicants are encouraged to apply.
