SAP Developer

SAP Developer - 6-Month Contract | Auckland based with Competitive hourly rate We are seeking an experienced SAP Developer for an initial six-month contract . This opportunity will suit a senior developer with strong expertise across ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and modern cloud-based extensibility. You will take ownership of technical design and development, contribute to high-quality engineering practices, and support other developers through technical guidance and code reviews. Key responsibilities Design, develop and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP and ABAP Objects. Build modern applications and extensions using RAP, SAP BTP and the ABAP Cloud development model. Develop SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications supported by OData services. Deliver SAP HANA-based development using AMDP and SQLScript. Design and maintain integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs and REST/SOAP APIs. Lead technical design discussions and provide practical solution recommendations. Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning and technical troubleshooting. Maintain strong development standards, testing practices and documentation. Mentor developers and promote consistent SAP engineering practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment. Skills and experience Strong experience working in enterprise SAP environments, including SAP CRM and S/4HANA . Hands‑on experience with RAP and SAP BTP-based extensions . Knowledge of the ABAP Cloud development model and SAP extensibility concepts. Strong expertise in SAP Fiori, SAPUI5 and OData services . Experience with SAP HANA, AMDP and SQLScript .
