Programme Manager

Programme Manager - Fixed-Term role Our client is looking to hire a Programme Manager who will be responsible for effective co‑ordination of the programme’s projects and management of their inter‑dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co‑ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits. This will be a 12‑month Fixed‑Term role based in Wellington. Successful Candidates Will Have Minimum of eight years professional experience, at least 5 of which as a senior project manager. Demonstrated people management experience in leading high performing teams. Proven decision‑making experience and leadership demonstrated in co‑ordinating and integrating projects. Demonstrated ability to see the "big picture" and understand the strategic context of projects. Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2. Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. Proven experience in managing a range of projects. Demonstrated ability to understand financial data and information, cost out all options and support recommendations with quantitative data. Skills Include Effective leadership, verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills. Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes. Sound business case development and approvals skills. Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties. Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme. The ability to find ways of solving or pre‑empting problems. The ability to think strategically and analytically, and translate ideas and concepts into concrete actions.
