Clinical Midwife Manager - Ward 96

Opportunity to step into a women‑centric environment with scope to grow. This is a 0.8 permanent, part‑time position available Monday to Sunday. About the Role We are looking for midwives who are ready for a new and exciting challenge in Ward 96. As a Clinical Midwife Manager, you will work closely with Midwife Specialists, Midwife Managers and members of the multi‑disciplinary team. You will be the go‑to person for advice and support, overseeing occupancy, acuity and managing the admission/discharge process in Maternity. Ward 96 features an antenatal and postnatal inpatient area as well as a transitional care unit called Whitinga Ora Pepi. The ward has 21 beds, 8 of which are dedicated to Whitinga Ora Pepi in collaboration with NICU and Starship, and 13 beds for antenatal and postnatal care. The focus is on caring for complex whanau who have a network of support services and providing whanau‑centred care in partnership with their LMC. Qualifications Passionate about whanau‑centred, evidence‑based care. Extensive knowledge and experience in primary birthing, postnatal care, care of the late preterm infant and care planning for these whānau.
