Pricing Analyst

Company Madison Recruitment is partnering with a large, highly respected Auckland‑based organisation to recruit a Commercial Pricing Analyst for an initial 3‑month contract, with strong potential for extension and future opportunities. Overview This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially savvy analyst who enjoys hands‑on complex modelling, pricing strategies and scenario analysis. You’ll join a team working on critical commercial work, helping shape pricing decisions and evaluate potential business outcomes through rigorous financial modelling. Based in modern Newmarket offices with excellent public transport links, the role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and add value from day one. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed pricing and commercial models. Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential commercial outcomes and risks. Evaluate pricing strategies and provide recommendations to stakeholders. Analyse large data sets and turn findings into actionable insights. Support business cases and commercial decision‑making processes. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across commercial and finance functions. Identify opportunities to improve modelling processes and reporting capability. About You Proven experience building complex financial and pricing models in Excel. Strong commercial pricing experience within a corporate, utilities, infrastructure or similarly complex environment. Advanced Excel skills, including scenario modelling, forecasting and sensitivity analysis. Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights. Strong stakeholder communication skills and the confidence to challenge thinking when required. Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes in a fast‑paced environment. What’s on Offer?
