Great Potentials Papakura Early Learning Centre Auckland Full time, Permanent We're looking for an experienced head teacher to lead our community-based early learning centre. Great Potentials Foundation and Papakura Early Learning Centre Great Potentials Foundation is a charitable trust committed to helping children, young people and families towards brighter futures. We do this through life-changing programmes we develop, establish and manage including HIPPY, MATES and two Family Service Centres (FSCs) in Takanini and Papakura. Our centre is open 8.30am–2.30pm, for children from two to five years of age and is licensed for 35 children. With this being a 40-hour leadership position, giving you dedicated time for mentoring your team, curriculum leadership, planning, administration and building meaningful relationships with families and community agencies. You’ll be confident balancing the day-to-day management of the centre while inspiring your team to deliver meaningful, child-led learning experiences that honour each child's identity, culture, language, and strengths You’ll be an experienced ECE leader with: Proven experience in an Early Childhood leadership or management role. A current New Zealand Teaching Council practising certificate. Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, licensing criteria, and regulatory requirements. Experience leading curriculum development, mentoring teachers, and supporting professional growth. Confidence managing the operational requirements of an early learning service, including compliance, health and safety, staffing, and administration. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A genuine commitment to working alongside children and whānau from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences.
