Last year close to 10,000 people across Greater Wellington and Wairarapa learnt this lifesaving skill, this training is free of charge thanks to our Cornerstone Partner Julie Nevett and The Lloyd Morrison Foundation who fund this essential programme. The data and evidence shows us the positive impact bystander CPR and AED use has for chances of survival in a sudden cardiac arrest and we encourage everyone to undertake training, know where their closest AED is and be ready to assist if needed. 69% of cardiac arrests in our region occur in the home. It also confirms that nationally, bystander CPR more than doubles a person's chance of survival, while the use of an AED before ambulance arrival increases survival rates by 2.5 times. About The Role The Heartbeat AED Manager helps improve community cardiac arrest survival by leading the sales, delivery, and maintenance of AEDs across Greater Wellington, Wairarapa, and surrounding regions. As the primary contact for organisations and individuals purchasing AEDs, the role manages enquiries, supports marketing activity, maintains customer information, and works closely with the Heartbeat Training Manager as an ambassador for the Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat CPR Programme. Key responsibilities Identify and engage organisations and community groups interested in AEDs Maintain WFA’s distributor relationship with Stryker Support tender applications and large‑scale AED contract proposals Manage the full AED sales process, including client liaison, stock ordering, assembly, site visits, and invoicing Who We Are Looking For You’ll thrive in this role if you have proven and extensive sales or account management experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a knack for building strong relationships. Marketing experience and confidence with MS Office are important, and experience in health, first aid, or cardiac care is a real advantage. You must also hold a full, clean driver’s licence. This role will be fulltime, 40 hours per week. The normal working week will be Monday to Friday, however the nature of the duties may require work outside the normal hours from time to time.
