Whangarei, Northland Permanent, full time (1.0FTE) opportunity About the Role As a Consultant Nephrologist based at Whangārei, you will be part of a team of 7 supportive Nephrologists who deliver haemodialysis care to patients across Northland. Your responsibilities will include outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and the management of acute renal presentations. This full-time permanent role, ideal for a Consultant looking to contribute to a progressive team committed to patient‑centred nephrology care. You'll be exposed to a wide range of cases in a supportive teaching and multidisciplinary environment. About the Team/Service/Location This service delivers treatment to Northland patients, including those receiving Home Haemodialysis and at our satellite units in our Bay of Islands and Kaitaia Hospitals. Whangārei is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services for the region supported by three district hospitals in Kaitaia; Bay of Islands and Dargaville. Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres and has a growing population of more than 190,000. About you We are seeking candidates with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching, who are collaborative team players committed to improving and developing services to meet population needs, with a strong passion for delivering equitable healthcare.
