Role Description This full-time, on-site Employment Solicitor role is based in Tauranga and focuses on providing high-quality employment law advice and representation to a diverse range of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on employment agreements, workplace policies, restructures, disciplinary and performance processes, and health and safety matters. The role involves drafting opinions, contracts and correspondence, managing files, and appearing at mediations and hearings as required. The Employment Solicitor will work closely with colleagues across practice areas, contribute to client training and seminars, and support business development initiatives. The position offers opportunities for mentoring, collaboration and ongoing professional growth within a supportive team environment. Qualifications Strong foundational Law skills, including sound legal research, drafting, and advisory capabilities. Expertise in Employment Law, including experience with disputes, compliance, and workplace relations. Admission as a barrister and solicitor (or eligibility for admission) in New Zealand and a current or attainable practising certificate. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
