We are on the hunt for Shift Managers at Burger King Restaurants in the Waikato region: Taupo, Chartwell, Turangi, and Tokoroa. Must be willing to work some night and weekend shifts. Responsibilities Hands‑on management of the store, including preparation and serving of flagship menu items. Supervise a small team of cooks and kitchen hands, coaching the crew and ensuring breaks are taken. Ensure all operational standards are met, including food safety, quality, and customer service. Problem‑solve and address issues as they arise and, when required, escalated to experts (e.g., kitchen machinery repair). Ensure the health and safety of all employees. Assist with promoting restaurant profitability by focusing on costs and maximizing customer opportunities. Compensation & Benefits Permanent employment. Salary: $59‑62K gross per annum, depending on skills and experience. Guaranteed 40 hours per week over any 5 days of the week, Monday to Sunday. Hours may vary depending on the rostered shifts. Qualifications At least 1 year of team management experience in fast‑food or a similar food, hospitality, or retail environment. Strong people and customer‑service skills. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to create a positive culture and working environment. Experience onboarding new employees, staff training, and motivation is advantageous.
