We’re looking for an experienced Level A/B Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join our team in Dunedin! Citycare Water is proud to have been selected as the preferred contractor for the Dunedin City Council 3 Waters Maintenance Contract. This is an exciting time to join us — the new 10-year contract provides long‑term stability, meaningful career pathways, and the chance to be part of a team delivering essential services for the Dunedin community. The role is responsible for the traffic management of sites on a reactive or scheduled basis, in accordance with health and safety, quality and environmental processes. You will act with the customer in mind and champion all health and safety systems and procedures. This role involves: Set up and maintain sites in line with MZGTTM and risk‑based approach requirements Read and apply Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), adapting sites where required to ensure safe outcomes. Support crews in the field and help keep our teams and the public safe. Communicate with residents, businesses, clients, and the public in a professional, friendly, and respectful way. Operate and care for traffic management equipment, vehicles, and plant. What you’ll need: TMO or higher qualifications The ability to set up and maintain traffic management sites that are in accordance with the COPTTM contract. An understanding of the risk-based approach to traffic management, with the ability to adapt sites as required. Experience as an STMS within the construction industry is desirable. A full class 1 license is essential! An alignment with Citycare Water’s values and a commitment to upholding Te Mana O te Wai will ensure success in this role. All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
