The Role As Product & Planning Manager , you will play a critical role in managing the CUPRA New Zealand product range from selection of factory specifications, through to product arrival in New Zealand and into lifecycle management. You will also be responsible for collecting and disseminating product and market intelligence and delivering sales analysis. You will work closely with CUPRA's global headquarters, managing vehicle ordering and production planning, supporting future product introductions, monitoring market trends, and shaping product and pricing strategies that drive business success. This role combines analytical capability, commercial thinking, and operational excellence, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with data while influencing strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities To succeed in this role, you will: Lead market analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholders, identifying trends, opportunities, and competitive insights. Manage vehicle stock planning and pipeline visibility to ensure optimal supply aligns with market demand. Liaise with the manufacturer on vehicle ordering, production planning, product specifications, and option management. Support the launch of new models and model year updates, providing product information, training support, and sales resources to the retailer network. Contribute to business cases and recommendations for model introductions, product enhancements, and special edition opportunities. Assist in the development and maintenance of competitive benchmarking, pricing strategies, and market positioning. Support financial analysis, pricing approvals, forecasting, and vehicle costing activities. Skills & Experience To be successful in this position, you'll bring: Experience in product planning, sales analysis, or a related commercial role, ideally within the automotive industry. A strong understanding of the automotive market and industry dynamics. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills. Commercial awareness and financial acumen. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Power BI experience would be advantageous. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment. A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
