Mō tēnei mahi | About this job We are looking for a Portfolio Manager – Employment Relations, to join our small team. You will manage a caseload of complex employment relations matters, including investigations, dispute resolution and support to leaders and employees by providing trusted employment advice. You will also play a role in strengthening organisational capability by developing ER resources, contributing to policy, supporting collective bargaining, and initiatives that foster positive working relationships, and a culturally responsive workplace. This is an opportunity to contribute to high standards of employment relations practice, influence organisational outcomes, mentor others and provide advice and coaching to other members of the People Services team. You will be an experienced Employment Relations specialist who is calm under pressure, exercises sound judgement, and builds trusted relationships with people at all levels. A tertiary qualification in Law At least five years' experience managing complex employment relations matters and workplace investigations. Excellent investigation, report writing and analytical capability. Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship management skills. Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and employment relations best practice. Experience working with unions, collective bargaining and dispute resolution processes. A willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga).
