Job Description

About the role As a National Transaction Centre Advisor you will manage the lifecycle of contracts ensuring legislative requirements are met. Your primary responsibilities include managing fees, rent and activity levies paid by private businesses operating on Department of Conservation land. You will prepare reports for decision makers, review contractual obligations and collaborate closely with the permissions team. You will deliver prompt and efficient service while handling a wide variety of management tasks. This full‑time, fixed‑term role based in Dunedin runs until 9December2026. Qualifications Ability to follow processes, analyse information and apply legislation/policy Previous contract management experience Experience with databases and document controls Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to drive processes to a timely conclusion Proficient at prioritising and managing busy workloads Problem‑solving ability, adaptable and flexible when unexpected situations arise Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills Team player with a can‑do attitude who can also work independently Knowledge of the Department’s concessions work (desirable) Background in finance (desirable) Benefits DOC supports flexible working arrangements for all staff.
