Qualified Registered Teacher - Te Uru (over 2's) Full time, Permanent Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua The Otago University Childcare Association is an association of five purpose built centres on the University campus. Te Uru is one of four separate centres that make up Te Pā. It's one of our centres for children over two years of age. We operate with a maximum of approximately 40 children with 100% qualified registered teachers who provide ratios of 1 to 8. This position is for 37.5 hours a week. The successful applicant will become a part of a diverse, collaborative team that are passionate about children's learning. Te Uru, like all of our centres is part of a diverse, predominantly University community. We make the most of getting to know our rich local learning environment, the bush, botanical gardens, museum and University. We are looking for a qualified and registered ECE teacher whose commitment to high quality teaching is evident in their practice. We’re looking for a team member who is an enthusiastic participant in teaching and learning, has evidence of being an active reflective practitioner, can establish respectful and supportive relationships with diverse whānau, children and teachers, and has strengths in te reo me tikanga Māori.
