Trade Yard 2IC

We're looking for a Trade Yard 2IC to help lead our busy trade yard and support the day-to-day operations of our Trade yard. As the Trade Yard 2IC, you will work closely with the Trade Yard Manager to ensure the smooth running of the yard, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a safe, organised, and efficient environment. This is a hands‑on role that combines leadership, customer interaction, and operational responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assist in the management and daily operation of the trade yard. Support and motivate team members to achieve excellent customer service standards. Serve trade customers efficiently and professionally. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times. Assist with training and development of team members. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a retail, trade, timber, building supplies environment. Proven leadership or supervisory experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. A proactive, hands‑on attitude with a willingness to lead by example. Good organisational and problem‑solving abilities. Forklift licence ‘F’ endorsed or hold a full NZ driver licence.
