Job Description
About the Role We Go Beyond for A Safer World Te Tūranga – The role we’re excited to offer is a Test Analyst specializing in Automation within our Systems & Solutions Team. This position is vital for conducting technical testing and ensuring the quality of Tait’s solutions for our Critical Communications clients. You’ll work hands‑on to enhance the automation of testing and deployment processes for solution architectures, which include hardware products, microservices, and simulators. You’ll also evaluate and provide feedback on test plans, designs, and related documents such as user stories and project plans. Responsibilities Conduct integration and system‑level testing across multiple Tait systems. Expand automated testing coverage and streamline deployment of test systems and cloud‑based environments. Collaborate with partnering engineers to integrate partner solutions with Tait systems. Perform requirements analysis and modelling. Review and inspect requirements and other development documentation. Plan and coordinate tests, often acting as the sole tester for larger projects. Design automated tests. Critically examine test and design solutions. Investigate and evaluate design and test processes, tools, equipment, and third‑party components. Support the team by assisting other testers, fostering skill development, and contributing to overall proficiency. Document, review, and maintain Tait’s Verification and Validation Standards. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent). Ideally, at least 2 years of experience as a technical tester, preferably at the confluence of microservices‑based applications and embedded software/products. Recent graduates with relevant education and internship experience may be considered. Proven competency in an OOP language (Python preferred). Proven experience implementing improvements in test processes. Proven experience implementing test automation frameworks, ideally involving microservices/embedded systems. Proven experience in CI/CD ecosystems (e.g. GitLab, Azure DevOps) and tool‑chains to automate deployment of containerised application ecosystems (e.g. Docker).
