About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a ServiceNow Specialist within our ICT Corporate Workflow product team in ICT. The role will be responsible for managing incidents, requests, technical improvements and enhancements with the ServiceNow platform, requiring knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, application support and development practices, and a good understanding of service‑centred management processes and procedures. The role is pivotal within the team, working alongside support service groups including HR, Finance, ICT and WFM to deliver value from the ServiceNow platform. Opportunities exist to develop enhancement solutions for wider ICT and business, support the Technical Product Owner in continuous improvement activities, and govern ServiceNow as a platform. Key Accountabilities Managing ServiceNow related incidents, requests and enhancements raised to the NZ Police ICT Corporate Workflow product team. Having a good understanding of the ServiceNow product and its offerings and how these relate to NZ Police's use of the product. Interacting with end users and peers within ICT as well as customers from our support service groups on a regular basis to ensure outcomes are achieved for the business regarding ServiceNow administration and enhancements. Demonstrating an understanding of ITSM, ITOM and ITAM toolsets and knowledge of working within ITIL Service Management and Agile frameworks. Providing strong customer service, working as a team player focused on exceeding customer expectations and collaborating with others. What you’ll bring Understanding of ServiceNow administration or equivalent application administration experience. ServiceNow certification, particularly Certified System Administrator (preferred but not required). Experience with JavaScript (advantageous but not required). Knowledge of the Application or SDLC lifecycle as it relates to non‑production and production application releases. Understanding of ITSM toolsets and familiarity with ITIL Service Management and Agile frameworks. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work as a team player focused on exceeding customer expectations and collaborating with others.
