Help Protect Some of the World's Leading Food & Hospitality Brands We are looking for an experienced Food Safety & Brand Protection Auditor to support food safety and operational excellence programmes across Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and hospitality environments throughout the Wellington region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food safety professional who enjoys working independently, conducting high-quality audits, and helping businesses maintain the highest food safety, quality, and operational standards. Most audit activities will be based in the Wellington area, with occasional travel to other regions of New Zealand when required. What You'll Do Food Safety Auditing Conduct independent food safety audits across QSR and hospitality locations. Evaluate compliance with food safety, hygiene, operational, and brand standards. Identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement. Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings professionally. Brand Protection Assess operational compliance against established food safety programmes. Help clients strengthen food safety culture and operational excellence. Provide practical recommendations that improve compliance and reduce operational risk. Maintain high professional and ethical auditing standards. Client Relationship Management Build positive relationships with client teams and site management. Communicate audit findings clearly and objectively. Represent the organization professionally during all site visits. Maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout the audit process. What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Experience conducting food safety audits within high-risk / high-care food environments. Experience participating in witness audits conducted by the NSW Food Authority or an equivalent regulatory authority. Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, and quality management principles. Excellent communication and report‑writing skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple audit assignments. Preferred Experience Experience auditing Quick Service Restaurants (QSR). Experience within hospitality or hotel environments. Experience working as an independent contractor or consultant. Knowledge of food manufacturing, retail food safety, or brand protection programmes.
