As a result of our continued growth in our New Zealand's business, we are seeking the below interest from suitable individuals who will support current and emerging programs across Defence, government, and commercial industries. About the Role We have multiple opportunities for Communications Engineers to join our New Zealand team where you will contribute to the delivery of specialist radiocommunications and spectrum engineering services across Defence, government and commercial client programs. Working in a consulting environment, you will apply your expertise in radiofrequency propagation, telecommunications systems, and the RF spectrum environment to support engineering analysis, technical studies and capability development activities across a range of client engagements. These roles offer the opportunity to work on complex communications and spectrum challenges in mission‑critical environments. Initial work may include supporting communications capability development and network design and optimisation activities for critical communications systems; alongside broader RF/Comms engineering work delivered through Nova's Specialist Services program. Note - these roles are primarily based in New Zealand but can also be supported for applicants based in Australia an 18‑month maximum term engagement. What You’ll Be Involved With Developing engineering models and technical analysis to support communications and electromagnetic spectrum capabilities Conducting specialist engineering activities across communications, RF and telecommunication networks and systems, technical studies and capability development Supporting the development and review of engineering artefacts and technical documentation Providing engineering advice on deliverables produced by industry and government stakeholders Contributing to communications capability design and optimisation activities within mission‑critical environments What We Would Like From You Degree qualifications in either Radiocommunications, Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications engineering recognised by Engineers Australia. Strong knowledge of electromagnetic spectrum operations, communications engineering or RF spectrum environments Experience contributing to engineering analysis, technical studies or engineering artefact development Exposure to Defence, government or mission‑critical communications environments will be highly regarded Familiarity with electronic warfare systems, spectrum management or related RF technologies will be advantageous Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders Full working rights for New Zealand or Australia with the ability to obtain n NZ security clearance.
