About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga We have an exciting opportunity to join the Lower North Island (LNI) Process Technical Team as a Senior Process Technologist (Powders), based at our Whareroa manufacturing site. While your core focus will be supporting our powders operations, this role also offers the opportunity to work across a broader range of plants within the LNI region from time to time — providing exposure to different processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities. In this role, you’ll provide expert technical support to manufacturing, helping ensure products and processes are delivered safely, efficiently, and within manufacturing and regulatory requirements. You’ll play a key role in supporting plant performance, responding to process challenges, and identifying opportunities to optimise operations and drive continuous improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your technical expertise while contributing to meaningful outcomes for the Co-operative. You’ll be part of a highly engaged and collaborative team who work together to solve problems, deliver improvements, and create sustained value across our manufacturing network. About You | Mōu We’re looking for a driven and technically capable individual who thrives on solving problems and improving processes. You’ll bring experience in food manufacturing or a similar environment, along with a strong understanding of process performance, variability, and continuous improvement. Strong technical thinking with the ability to diagnose issues and deliver practical solutions Confidence working across teams, building relationships, and influencing outcomes A structured, data-driven approach to problem solving and decision making The ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment A passion for continuous improvement and delivering measurable outcomes Experience working across multiple sites or supporting broader programmes will be advantageous, as will a qualification in Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Most importantly, you’re someone who enjoys learning, sharing knowledge, and supporting others — helping to build capability and lift performance across the team.
