Job Description
Land Surveyor – Contract or 1‑Year Fixed Term We’re seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to join our clients civil construction team on a brand new project starting very soon. Reporting to the Survey Team Leader / Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate surveying services across a range of civil and earthworks projects. This is a hands‑on role involving set‑out, earthworks calculations, as‑built documentation, topographical surveys, progress measurements, and stakeholder liaison. You’ll also mentor junior surveyors and help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently. Responsibilities Conduct field surveys and site set‑out for roads, drainage, structures and earthworks Prepare cut/fill calculations, survey reports, topographical surveys and as‑built plans Process survey data using Civil CAD, Magnet and Trimble Business Center Provide survey information for progress claims, project reporting and cost estimates Liaise with project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients Support and mentor junior survey staff Qualifications 5+ years’ surveying experience within civil construction or earthworks Strong experience with GPS, Total Stations and modern survey technology Proficiency in Civil CAD, Magnet and Trimble Business Center Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills Must be a self‑starter, quick thinker and able to make an immediate impact; training is not available for this role Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate contract or 1‑Year fixed term Site Supervisor – Contract We’re looking for a Site Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations across civil construction and earthworks projects. This hands‑on leadership role coordinates crews, subcontractors and plant resources.
