Role Description This full-time Solar Electrician roles are available in Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Wellington. The Solar Electrician will install, maintain, and repair solar power systems, including panels, inverters, and associated electrical components for residential and commercial properties. Daily responsibilities include conducting site assessments, wiring and connecting systems to existing electrical infrastructure, performing safety and compliance checks, and troubleshooting performance issues. The role also involves completing documentation, coordinating with project managers and other trades, advising clients on system use and maintenance, and ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards. Qualifications Strong foundation in electricity and practical electrical work, with experience in solar or renewable energy systems. Skills in maintenance & repair of electrical installations, including routine inspections and corrective actions. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and solar system issues, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions. Understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to system design, load calculations, and safety compliance. Recognized electrical trade qualification and current electrician’s registration or license in New Zealand. Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices for solar installations. Comfort working at heights and outdoors, with a strong focus on safe work practices and use of PPE. Effective communication skills, ability to read plans and diagrams, and collaborate with site teams and clients. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across the based region. Experience with hybrid or grid-tied solar systems and familiarity with monitoring software is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
