Finance Lead - New Zealand

Negotiable hourly rate based on experience As the New Zealand Finance Lead, you will be the key finance contact on the ground, partnering closely with the interim CEO and UK-based finance team. This is a broad, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys operating across financial control, management reporting, operational finance and stakeholder management while helping shape a growing organisation. You will play a critical role in establishing robust financial processes, supporting business growth and ensuring the finance function delivers high‑quality insights and governance from day one. Key Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day finance activities for the New Zealand business Develop and manage management and regulatory reporting across lending, balance sheet and liquidity activities Support financial control processes and ensure effective financial governance Liaise with external providers managing payroll, accounting and tax compliance Review ledger integrity within Xero and ensure reporting structures support business requirements Assist with accounts payable and wider operational finance activities Partner with the interim CEO and UK stakeholders and support the establishment and growth of the New Zealand operation Identify improvements, solve problems and help build scalable finance processes and frameworks About You We are interested in hearing from commercially minded finance professionals who can operate confidently in a dynamic and evolving environment.
