Location: Upper Hutt, Wellington. Employment Type: Full-time (Minimum 30 hours per week). Pita Pit Upper Hutt is looking for a motivated and hands-on Working Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store. This is a practical leadership role where you'll work alongside the team to deliver excellent customer service, maintain food quality, and achieve operational targets. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operation of the restaurant. Lead, supervise, train, and motivate team members. Prepare and serve food in accordance with Pita Pit recipes and food safety standards. Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer enquiries. Manage staff rosters, breaks, and shift coverage. Monitor inventory, place stock orders, and minimise food waste. Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company policies. Monitor sales, labour, and food costs to meet business targets. Open and close the store, including cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation. Skills and Experience At least 2 years' experience in a hospitality, café, fast-food, or restaurant supervisory or management role. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of food safety and health and safety practices. Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
