Job Description

Overview We’re looking for a Business Systems Specialist to add technical expertise to our Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery (TWSD) team. In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues, system users, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure business systems work well and resolve faults when they arise. You’ll support the technical direction of CRM and Case Management business systems, ensuring our systems are efficient, cost‑effective, and well‑integrated. If you thrive on solving complex problems and influencing outcomes through expert advice, this is the role for you. Responsibilities Use technical expertise to keep business systems running smoothly. Work with other technical experts to resolve faults with business systems. Solve complex problems with expert advice that shapes efficient, integrated systems. Communicate clearly with business users and with other technical experts. Qualifications Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with a knack for innovative problem‑solving. Broad understanding of business systems and experience working with multiple ICT suppliers. Experience of web and CRM‑based business systems. Specialist technical competence and sound judgement in ICT projects and programmes. Up‑to‑date knowledge of IT standards and methodologies (e.g. ITIL, SDLC, Agile). Excellent relationship management and communication skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences. A commitment to continuous professional development. A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience Minimum 1 year of experience resolving business system faults when they arise. Experience reviewing systems proactively to minimise outages. Experience working with case management, CRM, search tools, and data exchange systems. Experience with tools like Azure DevOps and their development/admin requirements.
