Job Description

One (1) Day Shift (7:30AM-4:00PM) We’re looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Fitter to join our team and play a key role in keeping our production lines running safely, efficiently, and reliably. What You’ll Do Execute maintenance work orders with accuracy and on time (including reporting, time confirmations, and close‑out) Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving food processing, utilities and packaging equipment. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations and all activities comply with food safety, quality, health and safety, and environmental standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site’s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System). Manage parts correctly and follow proper store procedures. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Drive Continuous Improvement Actively contribute to TPM and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, breakdown analysis, etc.) Work closely with operators to build equipment care and reliability knowledge. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing maintenance costs and increasing equipment availability. Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment. What You’ll Bring Trade qualification with strong maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred). Experience with SAP PM or similar maintenance systems. A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and results. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience with automated production and packaging equipment. Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge. Welding and fabrication skills.
