Join our nationally ranked Employment & Relationship Disputes practice in our dynamic Wellington office! We’re looking for a talented employment or relationships lawyer with 2–8+ years’ PQE to join our nationally ranked team from our growing Wellington office. This intermediate-level opportunity will be working closely with practice Partner Andy Bell, working across a variety of contentious matters, including employment disputes and investigations, workplace issues and risk management, high-value relationship property disputes, and a range of complex negotiations across both public and private sectors. You can expect to not only develop your technical skills across a variety of subject matters, but the skills to guide and mentor juniors and become a trusted advisor to clients during critical periods. Engage directly with clients and key stakeholders Represent clients in mediations, the Employment Relations Authority, Employment Court, and the Family Court Play an active role in negotiations to achieve smart, pragmatic outcomes Research, analyse, and draft high-quality submissions, affidavits, and legal advice with autonomy and initiative Support and mentor junior team members, developing your own leadership style Manage files end-to-end to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes for clients Contribute positively to team culture and support the firm’s strategic direction Take ownership of your professional development and career progression You’ll bring 2–6 years’ PQE, ideally with a clear focus on employment or family law, with a wider background in litigation or dispute resolution. Solid experience in mediation or negotiation-heavy work will be highly valued.
