Based at our Corrugated Case business in MangereBridge, Auckland, we provide innovative and high-quality cardboard packaging tothe dairy, horticulture, industrial and food sectors.
\nSignificant scope for the rightperson to make the role their own and broaden into potential further leadershipopportunities. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will work closelywith production and various other departments, whilst exhibiting a strong drive,along with highly skilled technical expertise and a confident communicationstyle. Due to the demanding nature ofour fast-paced manufacturing process, you need to be flexible with work hours,with the expectation of some call outs and weekend work.
\nWe wantyour expertise in predictive and preventative engineering to lead the sitesproductive maintenance program with the goal of eliminating equipment andprocess failures.
\nYou willbe responsible for:

- Improvingplant reliability by reviewing current results and ensuring correct executionof preventative and predictive maintenance schedules \n
- Toreduce or eliminate unplanned downtime, decrease recovery time and extendmanufacturing equipment life through the optimisation of reliability centredmaintenance programs, data collection and regular risk-based inspections \n
- Resolvingmajor breakdowns and roadblocks to productivity using RCA and othercollaborative problem-solving techniques \n
- Adoptand teach Reliability techniques to maintenance and production staff \n
- Focuson continuous improvement working with the current maintenance team to designand implement improvements to existing equipment and processes \n
- Identifyingand dealing with barriers to improving engineering performance \n
- Managingeffective relationships with suppliers and contractors \n
- SupportingHealth & Safety culture within the team \n
You possess:
\n- \n
- Experiencemanaging and improving machinery reliability in a modern high-speedmanufacturing environment \n
- Experiencein pneumatics, hydraulic systems with a working knowledge of engineeringmethods \n
- Strong health and safety cultureincluding knowledge of permit to work systems, LOTO and machine guarding \n
- AdvancedTrade Certification and/or NZCE or relevant Degree in Mechanical Engineering(or Electrical) \n
- Formaltraining in Lean principles advantageous \n
- RCA Best Practice knowledge \n
- TotalPreventative Maintenance experience \n
- Experience using a CMMS system (MEX,SAP etc) \n
- Computerliterate in Word, Excel and Powerpoint \n
