Job Description
About The Role: We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Transmission team based in Hamilton or Rotorua, delivering overhead line projects on Transpower assets and other network infrastructure. If you enjoy taking ownership from project award through to completion, working closely with customers, crews and stakeholders, and seeing your projects delivered safely, on time and within budget, we'd like to hear from you. This is a hands-on project management role where no two days are the same. One day you'll be on-site confirming scope and access requirements, the next you'll be planning outages, managing contractors, reviewing financial performance or working with customers to ensure expectations are met. Role Responsibilities: As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of the full project lifecycle from award through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. You\'ll be responsible for planning and delivering transmission overhead line projects, preparing accurate estimates, work packs and project documentation, coordinating resources, materials, contractors and outage requirements, and working closely with customers, designers, schedulers, field crews and stakeholders. You\'ll monitor project budgets, invoicing, work in progress and financial performance, proactively identify and manage project risks, resolve issues as they arise, and ensure all projects are successfully closed out with complete documentation, lessons learned and customer handovers. Experience: You\'ll have practical project management experience, ideally within electricity transmission, distribution or civil infrastructure, along with the ability to build strong working relationships and keep projects moving. Experience managing infrastructure, transmission or civil projects. Strong planning and organisational skills. The ability to communicate confidently with customers, contractors and internal teams. A solid understanding of project financials and commercial performance. Experience working with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make sound decisions. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft Project. A Class 1 driver\'s licence.
