About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi ACC's Longer-term Horizon Programme is helping shape how the organisation prepares for the future, responds to long-term change, and delivers on its vision for New Zealanders. It brings together complex strategic work that will influence how ACC operates, supports customers and works with partners over time. As Senior Communications Advisor, you'll help leaders and kaimahi understand, engage with and contribute to the programme. Working with programme leaders, executives and senior leaders, you'll support strategic communications and engagement while delivering clear content, updates and materials. You'll turn complex, long-term change design concepts and information into clear messages that explain what is changing, why it matters, and how people's work connects to ACC's future direction. Working across several workstreams, you'll connect decisions, milestones, risks and emerging themes into a clear programme story, then translate that into useful day-to-day communications, delivering tactical internal communications that support the programme. You'll report to the Internal Communications Manager and work day-to-day alongside the Programme Communications and Engagement Lead. Together, you'll help keep programme communications connected to enterprise channels and priorities, while ensuring alignment with other organisation-wide initiatives that contribute to ACC's strategy. This role suits someone who can work with autonomy, navigate ambiguity, anticipate risks and opportunities, provide clear advice, and deliver practical communications as priorities shift. The appointing salary for this role is $101,287 - $131,077 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance. This is a fixed term role until 30 June 2027 located in Wellington. About you | Mōu You will bring: Significant experience in strategic, internal, stakeholder or change communications within a large, complex organisation. Experience providing communications advice to senior leaders and executives. Strong communication planning, stakeholder engagement and storytelling capability. The ability to translate complex, technical or strategic information into clear, accessible messaging. Excellent relationship management and influencing skills. Sound judgement, resilience and the ability to work effectively through ambiguity. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience identifying communication risks, issues, opportunities and dependencies. Confidence using Microsoft 365, SharePoint and PowerPoint. A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams. You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
