Yardman

We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated Yardperson to join a well-established building supplies business. This role is a short-term role with a duration of one month. In this role, you'll work closely with tradespeople, assisting with product enquiries and order preparation. You'll be operating a forklift, cutting timber to size, loading vehicles, stock management, and maintaining a safe and tidy yard. What you'll be doing: Unloading deliveries and putting stock away correctly Assisting trade customers with product selections and orders Cutting timber and other materials to customer requirements Loading customer vehicles safely and efficiently Picking, packing, and assembling orders for dispatch Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard and store environment Processing sales documentation and maintaining accurate records THIS IS A ONE-MONTH ASSIGNMENT About You: This role would suit someone who: Enjoys physical work and staying active throughout the day Is fit and capable of lifting heavy or awkward items safely Has knowledge of building materials or the construction industry (beneficial) Has a positive, customer-focused attitude Communicates confidently with customers and colleagues Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work Requirements: Full NZ driver's licence Forklift F endorsement and OSH certificate - essential to be current Need to be available to start 31st July Strong work ethic and proven reliability What's in it for you: All PPE provided at no cost Weekly pay Accrual of annual leave KiwiSaver employer contributions Supportive team environment If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
