Seafood Assistant

New World Halswell is locally owned and operated with a reputation for an extensive range of quality seafood. We are a large supermarket located in a competitive area and we need innovative and customer‑focused team members to join our seafood department. As a member of our team, your primary focus will be on delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have access to a wide variety of quality seafood products. We are seeking an individual who is eager to learn, has a fantastic work ethic, exceptional personal presentation, and food safety awareness. Key Abilities Willingness to learn Self‑motivated and reliable A 'can do' attitude Bring a positive attitude and passion for customer service Key Responsibilities Deliver outstanding customer service and build rapport with customers Maintain a high standard of merchandising and product presentation Carry out daily packing and labeling of products Receive and display daily inwards supplies Assist with general product preparation and production Maintain a high standard of Food & Workplace Safety Experience and Training Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred, but not required as full training will be provided.
