Team Leader – Mental Injury (Permanent) Lead a specialist team supporting complex mental injury recovery. About ACC ACC is a trusted organisation that provides care, supports recovery and promotes injury prevention across NewZealand. About the Role This role leads a team of Recovery Partners who support clients with complex mental injury claims, including highly sensitive and traumatic experiences. You will foster a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement, enabling the team to deliver exceptional recovery experiences and achieve positive outcomes for clients. The work involves helping people navigate challenging circumstances while contributing to the safety and wellbeing of NewZealanders. Self‑Screening The position involves regular exposure to trauma and complex recovery journeys. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strategies for maintaining resilience, professional boundaries and personal wellbeing. Responsibilities Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to a team of Recovery Partners. Foster a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure teams deliver exceptional recovery experiences and achieve positive client outcomes. Maintain resilience under pressure and make sound decisions in complex situations. Support the team through distressing situations and complex client needs. Promote safe and inclusive recovery journeys for clients, whānau and communities. Qualifications Proven people‑leadership experience in health, rehabilitation, insurance, social services or customer‑focused environments. Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and empower teams to achieve outstanding outcomes. Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building capability. Experience supporting teams managing complex client situations. Excellent communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. High levels of resilience, empathy and emotional intelligence. Commitment to continuous improvement, inclusive leadership and service excellence. Genuine passion for helping NewZealanders achieve better recovery outcomes. Must hold NewZealand work rights at the time of application. Benefits Salary range: $101,287–$119,161 (based on experience). 9% employer superannuation contribution with no mandatory employee contribution. Optional life and income protection insurance.
