We are seeking a Product Owner to join ASB’sIdentity & Integration (I&I) Platform, leading delivery across our Integration, Data Serving Layer and System Orchestration capabilities that underpin critical technology services across the bank.

\n

In this role, you will lead platform delivery squads focused on Integration, Data Serving Layer and System Orchestration services that underpin critical capabilities across the bank. You'll shape platform priorities, guide delivery outcomes and work collaboratively with engineering, architecture, security and platform teams to deliver secure and resilient technology solutions.

\n

Sitting at the centre of ASB's technology landscape, you'll help drive our modern engineering strategy by managing interdependencies, aligning stakeholders and enabling the delivery of impactful platform services to support our customers.

\n

This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role, ideal for someone who is comfortable operating in complex technical environments, driving strategic outcomes, and partnering closely with engineering teams to shape the future of ASB’s Integration, Data Serving Layer and System Orchestration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Lead Integration, Data Serving Layer and System Orchestration delivery squads to deliver strategic platform capabilities across ASB
\n
• Own, shape and prioritise squad backlogs, aligning work to Platform, Technology and ASB strategy
\n
• Drive delivery decisions that balance customer value, platform health, risk and business outcomes
\n
• Develop and maintain platform roadmaps for Integration, Data Serving Layer and System Orchestration services
\n
• Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity and technology stakeholders to manage dependencies and enable delivery
\n
• Create, refine and prioritise epics, features and backlog items
\n
• Foster a safe environment for experimentation, learning and continuous improvement
\n
• Measure and communicate outcomes aligned to platform goals and OKRs
\n
• Identify, manage and elevate risks, dependencies and blockers
\n
• Ensure delivery aligns with ASB’s delivery model, governance and risk controls
\n

You’ll bring:\n

• Experience leading cross‑functional delivery squads in complex technology environments
\n
• Strong Product Owner experience working with platform or enterprise technology teams
\n
• Solid technical domain knowledge in Integration, Data Serving Layer or System Orchestration
\n
• Strong understanding of modern integration architectures/ patterns, such as API‑led architectures, System Orchestrationsystems, event‑driven systems/ data‑serving layer
\n
• Experience working closely with engineers, architects and technical delivery teams
\n
• Strong capability in prioritising backlogs and managing delivery across multiple dependencies
\n
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
\n
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
\n
• Resilience, adaptability and a pragmatic delivery mindset
\n

Experience with either; Enterprise integration platforms, or API management technologies, or Data Serving Layer, or System Orchestration technologies is essential.
