Uplifting wellbeing, a strengths-based approach focusing on compassionate care and positive outcomes for patients on the Hāpaitia (behaviours of concern) pathway Permanent, full time Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative nurse for the role of Nurse Specialist within the Hāpaitia Team. This role means you will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, positive and passionate multi-disciplinary team. You will provide specialist nursing advice, care and expertise, both in direct patient care and in support of other kaimahi caring for patients on the Hāpaitia (behaviours of concern) pathway. In this role you will be: Enhancing mana, support and safety for all patients and kaimahi on the Hāpaitia pathway. Patients with Behaviours of Concern are assessed as having a range of behaviours which may include: risk of suicide/self-harm, pulling out of medical lines/tubes, impulsivity, using verbal or physical abuse or threatening others, mildly agitated and wandering etc. If you are looking for an environment that provides a high level of job satisfaction, is always interesting, and offers an opportunity to grow both as a person and as a professional, then we would love to hear from you! Be an experienced Adults registered nurse with 5 years experience and will either have or be eligible for registration with NZ Nursing Council. Either have or be working towards a post graduate diploma or masters qualification Have proficient or expert level Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio or equivalent Be able to play a strategic role within the service to ensure service and organisational objectives are met Have excellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a bi-cultural environment Have a commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori and other communities identified by the NZ Health Strategy Te Toka Tumai Auckland is part ofTe Whatu Ora Health New Zealand , the overarching organisation for New Zealands National Health Service.
