Finance Manager (Parental Cover)

About A well-established Hawke's Bay business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide parental leave cover within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, partnering with senior leaders, and ensuring the smooth running of a finance function. You'll be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting, managing cashflow and compliance obligations, and supporting business performance through sound financial advice and analysis. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day financial management and accounting operations Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports Manage cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and GST requirements Monitor financial performance and provide commercial insights to support decision-making Coordinate annual financial statements, tax returns, and compliance activities Liaise with banks, external accountants, and other key stakeholders Provide leadership and support to a small finance team On Offer 6-8 Month Fixed-term Contract Senior leadership exposure and influence Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to step into a key position and make an immediate impact Hawke's Bay-based role with an established and growing organisation Company Benefits Parking Onsite Experience CA qualified (or working towards) preferred 7+ years' experience within accounting or finance roles Strong understanding of New Zealand tax, GST, and statutory compliance requirement Experience with Xero and modern accounting systems Previous experience leading a finance function or senior finance team in NZ Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and cashflow management skills Experience within property, construction, development, or project-based industries advantageous Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
