Working at the intersection of strategy, operations, programme delivery and stakeholder engagement, you'll provide trusted advice, drive quality and consistency across programme outputs, and help ensure the successful delivery of the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) portfolio. In This Role, You Will Provide strategic and operational leadership across the NCD portfolio, supporting planning, delivery, risk management, quality assurance and reporting to ensure programme objectives are achieved. Drive programme performance and operational excellence by developing and continuously improving systems, tools, templates, processes and reporting frameworks that support effective programme management and governance. Support performance, financial and delivery oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, risk management, contract monitoring, decision tracking and supporting the timely resolution of programme challenges. Ensure high-quality programme outputs through peer review, editorial oversight and quality assurance of reports, business cases, procurement documentation, funding proposals and advice for senior decision-makers. Build capability and strong partnerships by mentoring team members, collaborating across the Ministry and with delivery partners, and fostering trusted relationships that support successful outcomes for Polynesian countries. Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring Experience in public health, Pacific health, international development, health systems, non-communicable diseases, or a related field. Strong programme and project management capability, ideally supported by a PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile, or similar qualification. Exceptional writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience providing high-quality advice and producing outputs for senior decision-makers. Experience leading complex work programmes, including planning, performance reporting, financial management, risk management, and continuous improvement. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver outcomes across diverse organisations and health systems.
